Tigers Guaranteed Fifth Straight Losing Season; Losing Seasons In Six Of The Last Seven Years

Following last night’s 3-2 loss in Minnesota to the Twins, the Detroit Tigers are now guaranteed their fifth consecutive losing season and have also compiled losing seasons in six out of the last seven years.

The Tigers’ last winning campaign came during the 2016 season when they finished with an 86-75 mark and have not made the postseason since 2014 when they were swept in three games by the Baltimore Orioles during the ALDS.

According to many, the Tigers have over exceeded expectations from the preseason prognostications, and A.J. Hinch should get some serious consideration for A.L. Manager of the Year:

The Tigers will finish up the 2021 season with two more games in Minnesota tonight and tomorrow followed by three games in Chicago against the White Sox.
