Dan Campbell On Lions’ Second Half Crumble In Green Bay: “I Put This On Our Offense”

Just when you thought (again) that the Detroit Lions would pull off the unthinkable and knock off a heavily-favored opponent on the road, think again. After building a narrow 17-14 lead at halftime during last night’s “Monday Night Football” affair against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field, the Lions were blanked 21-0 in the second half and fell to 0-2 on the young season after a 35-17 setback to the Packers. Following the game, Dan Campbell wasn’t shy about deflecting the loss on his offense given how bad the defense has been through the first two games of the season:

“I put this on our offense. Offensively we have to be able to outscore a team like this. That’s just how I see it, because it turned into that type of game again, that’s why. So to me, the onus is on your offense….We are not allowed to make mistakes or have turnovers, because we can’t rebound from those.”
