Dan Campbell Kicks Off Lions Training Camp Doing Up-Downs With Players

The Detroit Lions began the grind that is training camp this morning in Allen Park as preparations for the 2021 season get underway, and Head Coach Dan Campbell showed once again why he is not your prototypical NFL head coach these days.  As the team was finishing their warm-ups, the defensive unit was doing up-down exercises, and Dan Campbell was there with doing it with them completing all 40 up-downs.

While it may seem foolish and silly for an NFL head coach to do such a thing, the Lions players respected the fact that their head coach was willing to put in the kind of work that they do on a daily basis.  After all, Campbell did play 11 seasons in the NFL including three with the Lions from 2006-08.
