A high school football game in Iowa ended with a jaw-dropping final score of 108-94.
There is one catch – it was eight-man football, not traditional eleven-man teams. But St. Mary’s Remsen and Montezuma put on quite the show in the 8-Man state semifinal.
Final: Remsen 108, Montezuma 94, the highest-scoring game in #iahsfb history that shattered so many other records, too.

Montezuma put up a record 804 yards of total offense, including 744 passing yards. Top receiver Trey Shearer had 20 receptions for 389 yards – and that’s for the team that lost!
The game broke all kinds of records including most points scored, first time two teams scored over 90 points, and first time a team scored over 90 points and lost.
The best part? The scoreboard wasn’t equipped for a 100-point score, so it switched to an ‘infinity symbol’ once Remsen topped 100 points in the fourth quarter. They now advance to next week’s 8-Man championship.
Did you know that eight-man football existed? Should it become a pro sport?
