Detroit Lions will see a familiar face officiating their game vs. Green Bay Packers

The Detroit Lions look to get back on track in week two on the road against the Green Bay Packers. Unfortunately, the task might be a little tougher after learning who is officiating the game.

According to Jeff Risdon from Lions WireClete Blakeman will be officiating Sunday’s game. If you remember correctly, he’s the one that made a number of horrendous calls against the Lions during their 23-22 loss in Green Bay last season. Here are some of those for reference.

To be fair, the game’s outcome was affected by more than just some bad officiating. The Lions had chances to put Green Bay to bed and didn’t execute. However, did we really need the same guy reffing the same two teams again after what happened last season?

The Lions are coming off a 27-23 loss in season opener to the Chicago Bears after blowing a 17-point lead in the fourth quarter.
