College basketball coaches want all DI teams in NCAA Tournament

ACC coaches would like to see a free-for-all championship basketball tournament – voting unanimously Wednesday to propose that the NCAA allow all 347 Division I teams into the 2021 tourney.

Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski was reportedly behind the idea, telling ESPN Radio, “Mens’s college basketball produces 98% or more of the money for the NCAA… We need to have the tournament.”

He also released a statement later saying that “In the Atlantic Coast Conference, we believe in the importance of celebrating our game. There is no better way to do that than involving every team in the most prestigious basketball tournament on the planet.”

Krzyzewski says the sport “needs to be agile and creative” among this “irregular season”

What would a 347 team NCAA DI basketball tournament look like? Could an expanded 2021 field help make up the estimated $400M-$600M lost with the cancellation of the 2020 tournament?
