NBA paying $150 million to play in Orlando

How much does it cost to go to Disney World before winning a championship?

ESPN, which is owned by Disney, reports the NBA is shelling out north of $150 million to play out the rest of the season in Orlando.

That breaks down to checks for housing 22 teams and staffs at resorts, seven practice courts and three game arenas, meals, daily COVID-19 testing and medical, security and transportation. More than 1,500 people will make it all happen.

Considering the loss of revenue amid the coronavirus crisis, the true costs to the league and teams is much greater.

Are you excited to watch NBA basketball? At this point, is it worth playing out the rest of the season? How will this season and its champion been seen in terms of the record books?
