When Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger underwent elbow surgery eight months ago, he vowed to stop shaving and getting haircuts until he was able to throw “a legit NFL pass.” On Monday, after firing off a number of passes to his teammates, a bearded Roethlisberger stopped by a barber shop for a trim.

“He’s looking good,” says Roesthlisberger’s teammate, James Conner. “He got a haircut too, so he’s looking good throwing the ball, and he’s stylin’ too. He’s healthy, he’s fired up, he’s anxious to play.”
While Pittsburgh management has not commented on when their star quarterback will be ready to begin his 17th season in the NFL, GM Kevin Colbert says his return will likely happen sooner rather than later. “I know where Ben is, where he’s been in his career, and I’ve never worried about his conditioning,” Colbert says. “When he shows up at training camp, he’s ready to go. He knows how to prepare himself.”
