NASCAR will honor healthcare workers in first race back

NASCAR will be honoring healthcare workers when it returns to action this weekend.

This Sunday’s Cup Series race at Darlington has been named The Real Heroes 400 in honor of those working on the front lines of the pandemic.

Healthcare workers from around the country will serve as grand marshals for the race, and have their names displayed on the driver-side window of each car.

The Real Heroes 400 will run without a live crowd.  The race gets underway this Sunday, May 17th at 3:30pm on FOX.

Will this race draw in viewers who aren’t NASCAR fans but are desperate for sports?
