The League announced Friday on social media that the virus “and the most recent local and state regulations, have left the XFL no choice but to officially cancel the remainder of the season.” Adding that it is thankful for the “overwhelming support.”
According to the Bleacher Report, the cancellation means players are now free to sign with the NFL.
