It didn’t feel like the Detroit Pistons were going to make any moves before 3 p.m. yesterday for the NBA trade deadline. They decided to do something at the last second.
The Pistons traded their veteran center Andre Drummond to the Cleveland Cavaliers for a second-round pick and two expiring contracts. Drummond responded on Twitter.
If there’s one thing I learned about the NBA, there’s no friends or loyalty. I’ve given my heart and soul to the Pistons , and to be have this happen with no heads up makes me realize even more that this is just a business! I love you Detroit…

Drummond was averaging 17 points and 15 rebounds a game. He’s a two-time All Star and has been led the league in rebounding in three different seasons during his career.
