If you’ve been left wondering why Drew Pearson still hasn’t been called up to get his gold jacket with the Pro Football Hall of Fame, you’re not alone.
CBS Sports counted Pearson as one of the top five biggest snubs from the NFL’s centennial class. Others on the list include:
- Eagles, Rams and Chiefs former head coach Dick Vermeil, who led the Rams to their first victory
- Falcons linebacker Tommy Nobis, who earned the name “Mr. Falcon” for his hard hits and for putting Atlanta on the pro football map in the ’60s and ’70s
- Drew Pearson, who is the only member of the NFL’s All-Decade Team not in the Hall of Fame
- Running back Roger Craig, whose time with 49ers, Raiders and Vikings made him the most versatile RB of his era
- Raiders wide receiver Cliff Branch, who earned three Pro-Bowl and 2 All-Bowl nods and helped the Raiders win their first-ever Super Bowl during the 76-77 season
