Mike Daniels wants to play for Detroit Lions next season

2019 was an underwhelming year for the Detroit Lions as a whole. The team finished the regular season with a 3-12-1 and had a number of key players suffer major injuries.

Mike Daniels was one of those guys. He went down with a couple of injuries that really limited his impact on a defense that desperately needed help on the defensive line.

Daniels finished the season with just 10 tackles and one sack.

Despite the struggles, the veteran defensive tackle seems optimistic about his future and the Detroit Lions. Here’s what he told the Detroit Free Press

“I feel good,” Daniels said, via the Detroit Free Press. “So I’m excited to get things rolling, see what happens. Definitely want to make sure I get back here.”

Do you want to see Daniels playing in a Lions uniform next season?

The Lions signed him to a one-year, $8.1 million deal before the start of the season. It’s hard to tell what type of contract he’ll be looking for coming off a disappointing season.
