Michigan falls, MSU moves up in AP Top 25

Both Michigan and Michigan State moved in the updated AP Top 25 poll for Men’s college hoops.

The No. 5 ranked Wolverines were brought back to earth in a way this week. They lost their first conference game on the road against Illinois. Then they hosted another top ten team (No. 10 Oregon) at home this past weekend and lost in the final seconds.

Michigan dropped to 14th in the polls with those two losses and now sit at 8-3 on the season.

No. 16 Michigan State played in just one game this past week. They met Oakland for a clash at Little Caesar’s Arena on Saturday and won with ease. Beating an inferior doesn’t do much to your ranking.

The Spartans moved up just one spot to 15th in the polls.

Kansas is the new No. 1 team in the country, a spot that has been bad to others. There have been four different teams to hold the top spot in this early season before getting dethroned.
