Fewer people are watching the NBA this year. A lot fewer! And league brass can’t put their finger on why.

Variety reports tear-to-date ratings are down 15% across the board – that includes a 21% drop for TNT and 19% decline for ESPN, according to Neilsen. Though, Sports Business Journal’s John Ourand is reporting even steeper drops.
