Going from 1-11 to playing your conference championship game is nothing to overlook. For Central Michigan, they had this type of turnaround in just one season.

Much of that has to do with head coach Jim McElwain. He’s been able to turn the Central Michigan football program around quickly and the team still has a lot to play for.

They’re playing the Miami (OH) Redhawks in the MAC championship on Saturday afternoon at Ford Field in Detroit. This is the first time that the Chippewas have played in the conference championship game since 2009.
