The Lions are currently 9-18-1 with Matt Patricia at the helm, but odds are he’ll be back to coach for a third year.

According to sources speaking to Sports Illustrated, the players who Patricia brought to Detroit “speak very highly of him”. He also has support from within the NFL.

“In this league, things can change week-to-week, sometimes minute-by-minute but I think Patricia will be the Lions coach next season,” reveals the source.

The source feels the team can be “competitive” if Patricia is given enough time.
