We’ve been here before as Lions fans.

Last year to be exact. The Detroit Lions opened up the season against an inexperienced team with a rookie quarterback starting in his very first NFL game.

The results were disastrous.

It is a new year. The Lions have added some new pieces to both their offense and defense. Matt Patricia has some head coaching experience under his belt.

They’re playing on the road against a very bad Arizona Cardinals team with both a rookie quarterback and head coach. They’ll also be without their best defensive player, Patrick Peterson.
