It’s almost that time of year again. College football kicks off at the end of this month and it’s time for an overload of Heisman Trophy watch lists and top 25 polls.
USA Today Sports puts together a yearly preseason coaches poll for the top 25 teams in the country. To no one’s surprise, the Clemson Tigers were ranked number one. They received 59 out of the 65 first place votes.
The Michigan Wolverines are on the back end of the top 10, coming in at No.7 in the preseason poll. The Michigan State Spartans come in at No. 20 on the poll.

There are seven Big Ten schools that made the list, more than any power five conference in the FBS.
That should speak to how tough it will be in the conference this season.
