Justin Verlander says Major League Baseball officials are “a f***ing joke” and they use “juiced” balls to make games more exciting.
Verlander made the shocking accusation in an ESPN interview following Monday’s revelation that he’ll be starting Tuesday’s All-Star Game. “They’ve been using juiced balls in the Home Run Derby forever,” the Astros pitcher said. “One hundred percent. They know how to do it.”
Verlander’s comments came a month after MLB commissioner Rob Manfred said baseballs are being manufactured better, giving them “less drag” — a statement Verlander said is a load of B.S. “It’s not coincidence,” he said. “I find it really hard to believe that Major League Baseball owns Rawlings and just coincidentally the balls become juiced.”
Is Verlander going to complain his way out of a career? Do you believe him?
