It’s not even August and this will get you impatient for the start of college football. Preseason win totals have been posted for the Big Ten Conference by FanDuel.
Tom Fornelli from CBS Sports gave his predictions on the preseason over/under win totals across the conference. Michigan’s over/under is 9.5 while Michigan State is 7.5 for the 2019 season.
Fornelli took the over on Michigan and had this to say:
“In my opinion, even if Michigan isn’t the most talented team in the Big Ten (that’s still Ohio State), it enters the 2019 season with fewer question marks than any other team in the conference. Take this over. I’m confident Michigan will have already reached 10 wins before it faces Ohio State to end the regular season.”
Michigan is coming into the new season with a re-vamped offense and Shea Patterson under center.
Fornelli took the under on Michigan State because he questions whether or not they will be any better on the offensive side of the football:
“When it comes to figuring out whether the Spartans will win eight games or not, a lot of it depends on what the offense does. It’s almost hard to imagine it doing worse in 2019, but realistically, how much better can it get with its personnel?”
He goes on to mention that Sparty has a set of really tough road games on their schedule that include both Michigan and Ohio State this year.
Michigan and MSU fans, what are your thoughts on these predictions?
