The Tampa Bay Lightning tied the NHL record for regular season wins this past season.Their 62-win regular season helped them win three trophies at the NHL Awards show last night.
Forward Nikita Kucherov won the Hart Trophy—which is the NHL’s name for the MVP award. He recorded 128 points which was 12 more than runner-up Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers.
Tampa Bay goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy (39 wins) picked up the Vezina Trophy for the league’s best goaltender.
Blues Ryan O’Reilly added to his Stanley Cup and Conn Smythe Trophy winning the Frank Selke Trophy as top defensive forward.
Flames defenseman Mark Giordano won the Norris Trophy. He finished second among defensemen with 74 points in 78 games.
