If you didn’t hear, there was a move made in the NBA that significantly changed the landscape. The Los Angeles Lakers acquired superstar Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans for three players and three first-round picks, including their number four overall pick in this year’s draft.
One of the three players the Pelicans acquired happened to be Lonzo Ball. We all know who is dad is. Here’s Lavar’s reaction to the blockbuster trade.
LaVar Ball on the Lakers trading Lonzo Ball: ‘I guarantee… it will be the worst move the Lakers ever did in their life and they will never win another championship. Guarantee it.” pic.twitter.com/Q1pxopsEdP

Former Lakers President of basketball operations, Magic Johnson, weighed in on the matter as well. Johnson stepped away from his job after the end of the regular season.
Great job by Owner Jeanie Buss bringing Anthony Davis to the Lakers! Laker Nation, the Lakers are back in a championship hunt! Congratulations to the entire organization. I know LeBron James has a big smile on his face. I’m loving this!!

LeBron James himself turned to Instagram over the weekend with his reaction to the trade. After missing the NBA Finals for the first time in eight years, it’s understandable to be happy to see a player like this joining your team.

Shockingly (not really), the Lakers now have the best odds to win the NBA title next season according to Vegas.
