Russell Wilson wants to play until he’s 45

Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson must feel on top of the world.

He recently signed a four-year extension worth $140 million, making him the highest paid player in the NFL.

However, Wilson plans on playing long past his current extension. The 30-year old veteran wants to play until he’s 45 years old.

Here’s what he told Michael Silver from the official website of the NFL:

“Seven years has gone by so fast,” Wilson said. “You think about just turning 30 years and what I have for the rest of my career — for the next 10-15 years — I’m just fired up about it. You think about some of the best quarterbacks of all time, guys like Drew (Brees), guys like Tom (Brady), who (are playing into their 40s). I really look up to those guys. There’s so much more to do.”

Wilson has won a super bowl with the Seahawks and has 75 wins as their starting quarterback. Do you think playing until 45 is doable for Wilson?
