Slay did it via Instagram Live that he wouldn’t be attending. Harrison Sr. broke his news on Twitter.

If you’re a Lions fan, it’s easy to understand why this might make some people worry a little. Both Slay and Harrison Sr. play giant roles on Detroit’s defense.

Harrison Sr. was acquire during the middle of last season and it’s no secret why the Lions got much better on the defensive side of the ball.

According to PFF’s Josh Liskiewitz, Harrison Sr. led the NFL with 50 run stops last season. The Lions were 21st in the league in run stops before Harrison was acquired. They were 3rd in the league after he was added to the defense.

Slay has been considered one the league’s best defensive backs for years. He had three interceptions last season and a touchdown.

Both players are seeking new deals right now which is why they are skipping out on minicamp.
