The Detroit Tigers are rebuilding right now. They’re not exactly a product that’s fun to watch right now.
After yesterday’s loss to the Baltimore Orioles, Detroit has dropped 12 out of it’s last 13 games. Hang on Tiger fans, there is a light at the end of this miserable tunnel.
That light comes in the form of Casey Mize and Matt Manning. Both are pitchers currently in the Tigers’ farm system.
Both are currently with Detroit’s affiliate, Double-A Erie SeaWolves.
In their last four starts combined, Mize and Manning have given up just one run total. That’s a combined 26.2 innings pitched between those two.
There seems to be some real promise with these two young pitchers moving fast regarding development.
