Tigers GM Al Avila reveals next step in rebuild process

It’s been an ugly stretch of seasons for the Detroit Tigers. They’ve lost 95+ games in each of their lost three seasons.

However, general manager Al Avila revealed that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Here is what he told Chris McCosky from the Detroit News:

“The mindset here is to move forward and build back up,” said Avila, after he finished the first day of activity at the Winter Meetings. “We’ve made a lot of trades. We’ve traded everyone we needed to trade and we’re at the point where this team is very young and we need to build it back up.”

Avila also revealed that team is looking fill numerous positions including catcher, first basemen, and a starting pitcher. Could we finally see the Tigers spend some money and start getting competitive again?
