Kenny Willekes defines the saying, “It doesn’t matter where you start, it’s how you finish”.

He was given the Burlsworth Trophy, which is awarded to the most outstanding football player who began his career as a walk-on.

He finished his senior year with 69 total tackles and 8.5 sacks. Willekes was one of the few bright spots on a Michigan State team that struggled this season.

The Spartans will be playing in the Pinstripe Bowl against Wake Forest before their season is over.
