Michigan to play Alabama in Citrus Bowl

The Michigan Wolverines will be playing the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Citrus Bowl on New Year’s Day. The Wolverines finished the regular season at 9-3 and the Crimson Tide finished with a 10-2 record.

Alabama might be sitting in a much different situation if star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa didn’t have an injury-rattled season. There’s no saying whether or not he will be returning next season either.

The Wolverines are going into their bowl game after losing 56-27 to Ohio State at home.

How motivated will Michigan and Alabama be? Both teams have players that will likely sit out so they won’t get injured before the NFL Draft in April of 2020.

The Wolverines haven’t won a bowl game since 2016 and the Crimson Tide aren’t playing in the CFP for the first time since it was created.
