Former Astros player says team was stealing signs during 2017 championship run

The Houston Astros have been dodging accusations of sign-stealing for years, and now those accusations are coming from former Astros players.

The Athletic spoke with four ex-Astros, including pitcher Mike Fiers, who say the team used a centerfield camera to steal signs during its 2017 World Series run. That camera would send video to the dugout tunnel, where players would use loud noises to signal the batter, like banging a trash can if a breaking ball was coming.

MLB bans using electronic equipment to steal signs. The Astros have denied all sign-stealing allegations.

How should MLB respond if the reports are true? Does it taint the Astros’ 2017 World Series title?
