The Detroit Lions lost yesterday in Chicago against the Bears 20-13 without franchise quarterback Matthew Stafford.
Early last week, he came up on the team’s injury report listed as ‘limited’ during practice with a back/hip injury. Eventually reports surfaced that Stafford had broken bones in his back and wasn’t cleared to play by Detroit’s medical staff.
Matthew Stafford had started 136 consecutive regular-season games entering today, the 6th-longest streak for a QB in NFL history. The last Lions’ QB to start a game other than Stafford was Shaun Hill, in Week 17 of the 2010 season, when he beat the Vikings 20-13.

Jeff Driskel started for the Lions in his place and looked like a backup quarterback. With the team sitting at 3-5-1 on the season now, how long should the Lions let Stafford sit?
