Two of NFL’s best QB’s out with significant injuries

The NFL couldn’t have had a worse weekend as far as injuries go. Both Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger are out with injuries and will miss significant time.

Brees injured his thumb during New Orleans’ week two loss to the Los Angeles Rams. He will need surgery because of ligament damage. Brees is expected to be out for six weeks.

Roethlisberger injured his elbow on his throwing arm in his team’s week two loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He will miss the remainder of the season.

Mason Rudolph is now the starting quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
