The viewers spoke and ESPN listened. During the first half of Monday night’s matchup between the Saints and Texans, the sports network’s social media accounts lit up with complaints over the on-screen graphics.

Those watching at home seem to have been distracted over the use of a yellow arrow as the down-and-distance marker at the bottom right corner of their TV sets, which may have looked too similar to the one used to mark an official’s penalty flag.
After halftime, the bug was changed to a more pleasing black-and-white version.
Taking to Twitter with a screengrab of the new graphic, Bill Hofheimer from ESPN’s PR department noted the outrage and tweeted, “We have called an audible and adjusted”.
