Lions WR optimistic about new offense

One of the biggest reasons the Detroit Lions struggled last season was because of their lack of firepower on offense.

Marvin Jones and Kerryon Johnson both missed a significant amount of time last season. Matthew Stafford played with a broken back. Outside of that, the Lions’ offense became very stagnant under former offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter.

Darrell Bevell is the new OC in Detroit and one wide receiver is optimistic about the new scheme in place.

Kenny Golladay will be expected to play a big role again this season if the Lions are to have success on the offensive side of the ball. Here’s what he told Carlos Monarrez from the Detroit Free Press.

“I feel like we’re going to be explosive,” Golladay said. “We’ve got a lot of explosive people in different positions. I’m excited.”

The Lions offense certainly does look different from last season. There are a lot of new weapons to incorporate along with first-round draft pick T.J. Hockenson.

Do you think the Lions will be able to score more points this season?
