Report: Watching Sports Is As Good As Exercising

Can’t get to the gym? No worries, just pop into a pub that’s showing the game instead. According to a new study, watching sports is quite beneficial.

Researchers from the University of Leeds found that cheering fans got an equivalent workout as going on a brisk walk for 90 minutes thanks to an increase in heart rates.

Even better, seeing their teams win dropped blood pressures and boosted psychological well being for the entire day, reports the UK Daily Mail.

Of course, this only works if your team is on the victorious side, with those on the losing end receiving the opposite effect.
