Lions Rookie Plays for Dad Battling Cancer

While good money and fame are a strong reason for rookies to work hard in the NFL, one Detroit Lions rookie is playing to help his father push through cancer.

Kevin Strong Jr.’s father, Kevin Sr. learned he had lung cancer last year.  While the eldest Strong is pushing through with his treatment radiation has been very hard on him.  Seeing his father struggle, Kevin Jr. made a deal with his dad; if Junior made into the NFL his father had to promise to push the radiation treatment the best that he could.

While both men motivate each other Strong will continue to motivate himself when over twenty family members come to watch the Lions practice against the Texans Wednesday and Saturday?

Have you ever had to motivate your parents?
