Wolverines take on Vanderbilt in CWS finals

Two teams that took very different paths will be facing off in the finals of the College World Series.

The Michigan Wolverines were one of the last four teams selected to be in the NCAA tournament. The Vanderbilt Commodores were the No. 2 overall seed after finishing as SEC regular season champions as well as conference tournament champions.

They come into the best-of-three series with a 57-11 record. Michigan has a 49-20 record.

The Wolverines and the Commodores both went 3-0 during the CWS. Michigan is coming in off a dominant performance where their offense produced 15 runs.

They will be playing in their first CWS finals since 1962. Can they finish the job against a tough Vandy team?

The series starts tonight at 7 on ESPN.
