Detroit Lions release former Spartan QB Connor Cook

The Detroit Lions released former Michigan State quarterback Connor Cook. He was waived along with safety David Jones.

Cook has been unable to find a stable home in the NFL. He’s spent time with the Raiders, Bengals, and Panthers throughout his short career.

The Lions signed QB David Fales to compete with Tom Savage as the backup quarterback in Detroit.
