Michigan baseball advances to CWS for first time in 35 years

If you’re a fan of baseball and live in west Michigan, it’s been a pretty tough start to the 2019 season.

The Detroit Tigers just wrapped up a home series with the Minnesota Twins where they lost 12-2 in the rubber match of the series. They’re now just 24-38 on the season.

The Tigers’ single-A affiliate, the West Michigan Whitecaps, are 20-43 on the season.

There’s one team that is currently succeeding and you may not know about it. It’s the Michigan Wolverines!

They just defeated the number one-ranked UCLA Bruins to advance to the College World Series for the first time in 35 years.

That will start this Saturday.
